Examines selected theories and concepts of organizational behavior and the management of people and resources. Focuses on the application of selected management theories and concepts to nursing practice and health care systems.

Explores the aesthetic, ethical and personal patterns of knowing in nursing for the practicing RN.

Synthesizes theories and concepts for professional nursing practice with a focus on role transition.

Analyzes public health concepts, theories, and practice with a focus on the health of all clients in a global environment. Includes core public health functions, domestic and international health care delivery systems, public health and health policy, conceptual and scientific frameworks for community/public health nursing practice, epidemiology, and global health issues.

The need for clear communication about health and medicine has perhaps never been greater. Introduces the fundamentals of writing for these contexts, focusing on four P's: professional, public, policy and personal writing. Explores critical bodies of knowledge, practices key genres and develops valuable skills to effectively convey technical information across various platforms, modalities and audiences. Culminates in an individual project in an area of interest.
