
Health Education and Health Promotion (BS)
Arizona State University's Bachelor of Science in health education and health promotion online equips you for careers making changes in local communities, schools, businesses and other groups to improve health outcomes. In this program, you’ll gain foundational knowledge in health promotion program planning, implementation, evaluation and health advocacy. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared for a range of careers that focus on supporting these initiatives.
Health education and promotion courses
In this program, you’ll complete courses on fundamental public health care concepts and techniques for implementing health promotion programs. You’ll also choose from elective courses that cover wellness topics, including stress management, substance abuse, violence prevention, conflict mediation, emotional health and more. To culminate the program, you’ll complete an applied project course in which you’ll complete a capstone project, internship, work as a teaching assistant or take part in a community-based research study related to public health education.

Upon graduation, you’ll be equipped with the experience and skills to pursue a wide range of careers in health education. You might pursue a career as a public health educator, worksite wellness coordinator or program coordinator for health service organizations.
