
Health Sciences – Healthy Lifestyles and Fitness Science (BS)
Arizona State University’s online Bachelor of Science in health sciences with a concentration in healthy lifestyles and fitness science is designed for those who are passionate about the lifestyle-based aspects of health and wellness. By combining the study of exercise and nutrition with human behavior and motivation, this program provides you with a solid background in preventative health care and prepares you for certification in the top health and wellness fields. Upon graduation, you can work in clinical settings, private or community-based organizations or as an entrepreneur.
Health, wellness and fitness science courses
In your core courses, you’ll build knowledge on healthy eating, cultural influences on health and using artificial intelligence in health settings. In your track, your courses will hone in on specific areas of health and wellness. Topics may include diabetes prevention, sexual health, social media and health, behavior change methodologies, coaching communication, fitness programming and more. To culminate the program, you’ll also participate in hands-on, experiential learning.
